51st Aviation Company (Airmobile) – St. Matthews 1968

1968 0901 – 51st Aviation Company reorganized as 51st Aviation Company (Airmobile) with CH-34 and OH-23 aircraft. MAJ Marion H. Kinon became the new Commander. SSG Dewey Bullman was the First Sergeant. MAJ Kinnon was already a rated rotary wing pilot.

When the unit reorganized as 51st Aviation Company (Airmobile) equipped with helicopters, the L-20, 55-694 (U-6A) was transferred to Hqs STARC  to become the State VIP and Support Airplane.  Subsequent airplanes of Hqs STARC would later become OSA Detachment 24.  (Click Here)

1971 – 51st  Aviation Company (Airmobile) went to F T. Bragg, North Carolina for Annual Training.
